I knew Sherry from being friends with her sister Susie. Sherry and I were also friends and she was as kind, thoughtful as she was beautiful.
I´m high school Susie and I with some other friends were sitting around on break between classes talking about who we thought was the most beautiful woman. This was around 1977 Charlie Angels was popular so most were saying either Farrah Fawcett or Jacqueline Smith. But Susie said her sister Sherry was the most beautiful when she had her hair down full and beautiful smile. The other girls looked at her oddly. I saw the picture of Sherry hanging in their family room the same one now in her obituary and thought Susie was right she is gorgeous.
Sherry worked many years for Longs Drug store on McHenry. I am glad she met love of her life and was married and had a son. I never met her husband but did meet her son Mathew when a toddler when her mother Greta was babysitting him.
I am so sorry Sherry passed away too young. I hope she is with Susie and her mom now in heaven.

Some memories remain with us for long periods of time. My memory of Sherry is almost 60 years old. We were in 3rd grade together and best friends. Every Friday we would wear matching white skirts and green striped turtlenecks and white boots. We would tell everyone we were sisters. Except for the clothes, we looked nothing alike but we were not deterred. Sherry was as sweet and kind then as she was described above.
As I have this special memory, I trust that her family will have many more memories to hold and cherish. My deepest sympathy for the loss of your beloved Sherry.
Sincerely,
