Modesto, California - Shirley Ann Jacobs, age 89, of Modesto, California passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 6, 2022. Shirley was born March 27, 1933 to Lawrence and Gladys Olive Starr in Los Angeles, California.
Shirley loved her family dearly, and enjoyed creating new memories with them. She was a retiree of Modesto City Schools. She enjoyed camping, RV traveling and playing games.
Shirley is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Ann Stewart, Jana Lynn
(Dennis) Smith, and Lori Lee (Donnie) Wallace and her son, James Ross (Donna) Jacobs. She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, James Dale Jacobs, and son, Larry Charles Jacobs.
A visitation for Shirley will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Lakewood Funeral Home - Riverside Chapel, 900 Santa Fe Ave Hughson, CA 95326. A graveside service is scheduled at 11:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Shirley's memory may be made to Alexander Cohen Hospice House, American Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.
