Sherrill Gomes Obituary
She attended Mt. View and Chatom schools before graduating from Turlock High School. Later in life, she earned her Class A license and ran her own trucking business alongside her husband, Mike Sears. Sherrill cherished her son, Evo Costa, and was deeply proud of the man he became.
A devoted animal lover, she raised dachshunds and provided loving homes to many pets over the years. Her warmth, humor, and generous spirit will be deeply missed.
Sherrill is survived by her son Evo Costa, husband Mike Sears, lifelong friend Manuel Costa, brother Dave Jones, sister Yvette Fagundes Hall, "sister cousin" Vikki Thomas, extended family and friends, and her beloved pets.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 4, from 4–6 p.m., followed by a Rosary and Celebration of Life from 6–8 p.m., at Turlock Funeral Home. A Mass will be held Thursday, March 5, at 9 a.m., at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Turlock. Burial to follow at Turlock Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to Oakdale Shelter Pet Alliance at oakdaleshelterpetalliance.org.

It´s rare to find a cherished friend. You had the biggest heart, always ready with a joke or a helping hand.
