Gregory (Gregg) Kenneth Hernandez , age 72 of Turlock, lost his 4 year battle with cancer and passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his family on January 29 th, 2026.

Born on July 9 th, 1953. Gregg was born and raised in Turlock most of his life, he will be remembered as a loving family man who enjoyed spending time with his wife of 50 years, his two sons and grandchildren. Gregg enjoyed playing golf, scratching lottery tickets and watching his favorite sports teams, the San Francisco Giants and the San Francisco 49ers.

Gregg worked at his family restaurant The Taco House while attending Turlock High School. Later he worked for New Deal Market and then International Paper for 20 years. Moving on he started his own business, Happy Dogs hot dog cart, and later going to work for Bonander Ponatic selling cars before retiring at the age of 62. Gregg will be truly missed by all his family and all who knew him.

Gregg was preceded in death by his parents Manuel Hernandez JR and Petra.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years Dolores, his sons Jeff Hernandez SR (Christina) and Jason Hernandez (Lorena), siblings Kathleen Abplanalp and Carlos Hernandez, his grandchildren Jeffery Hernandez JR, Matthew Hernandez, Gianna Hernandez, Jayden Hernandez and Arianna Hernandez.

Private services were held per his wishes.
