Amy Kisner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Turlock Memorial Park & Funeral Home on Feb. 11, 2026.
Amy Grace Daponte Kisner, 21, passed away instantly in a car accident on the morning of February 5th, 2026. She was born on April 25th, 2004 in Turlock, California, to Dale Kisner (deceased) and Graciela Ponte.

She grew up in a large, loud, and loving family. She took on a love of reading, inspired by her mother and sister; crotchet, inspired by her grandmother; and developed a deep hunger for knowledge, which supported her dream of one day becoming a doctor. She graduated from Turlock High School in 2022 and decided to attend UC Merced, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.

Amy was without question a passionate, driven person, a fact which became apparent to all who met her. Those who got to know her discovered that she was also caring, protective and loyal. She showed her love by showing up for the people in her life and speaking her mind, regardless of if they were ready or not.

Amy was the perfect friend, sister and daughter. She is survived by her mother, Gracie; her sister, Arianne; her brother, Brenden; as well as countless members of her loving extended family.

Amy was above all honored to be a scholar and was incredibly motivated to attend medical school. She will be graduating from UC Merced this May. The loss of her is indescribable not just to her family but her community. We will never allow her to fade from our hearts.

The family would like to thank everyone who has gathered here today, sent owers, or allowed Amy to touch their heart. We would also like to thank Covenant Living, where she worked, for their incredible generosity; as well as Arlet, Isabelle, Fatima, Randy and Mariah for the incredible support when we most needed it.

We love you forever, Amy.
