Timothy Kisner was born on September 28, 1976, to Roy Kisner and the late Bobbi Kisner. Known to many for his larger than life personality. Tim left a lasting impression on everyone he met through his humor, charisma, and deep love for his family.
Tim was married for 29 years to the love of his life and soulmate, Allison Kisner. Their marriage was filled with laughter, surprises, and adventure. Tim especially loved planning little surprises for Allison. Together they cherished traveling, particularly going on cruises, & creating memories that will be forever treasured.
He was a proud and devoted father to his three girls: Jodie (Zach) Ensley, Julia Owens(Junior) and Hailey Kisner. He was also a loving grandfather to seven grandchildren; Aaliyah, Jahmyiah, Kailynn, Siah, Lincoln, Teddy, and Ila. Each of whom brought him immense joy and pride.
Tim is survived by his sister, Traci (Jason) Patterson, and his beloved niece, Adriana (Damien) Roux, along with many extended family members and friends who considered him family.
Tim proudly served his country in the United States Army for 17 years. His service included 6 tours to various countries. Following his military career, Tim continued his life of service by becoming a registered nurse. He spent his career in the Emergency department, where he received Virginia Nursing Association 2017 Award winner for Patient Satisfaction as well as a Daisy Award. He continued caring for others with the same dedication he showed in uniform.
Outside of work Tim enjoyed fishing, spending time in his garage, and watching baseball. Especially cheering on his favorite team, the San Francisco Giants. He was known for his love of a good Tito's and cranberry, his impeccable attention to always smelling good, and his endless jokes and playful teasing. His famous "Tim-isms" were legendary, bringing laughter to family gatherings and friendships alike.
In high school, Tim was affectionately known as "Big Kizz," where he played both baseball and football. He graduated from East Union High School in 1995, already displaying the leadership and outgoing personality that would follow him throughout his life.
Above all else, Tim will be remembered for his heart, his devotion to his wife, his pride in his children and grandchildren, his loyalty to friends, and his unmistakable presence. His laughter, love, and spirit will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
