Michael Anthony Valdez, age 65, passed away on January 26, 2026. Born on November 26, 1960, Michael was raised in Tracy, California, he later made his home in Manteca, where he had lived since 1997.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Benito Valdez. He is survived by his loving mother, Josie Valdez; and his siblings, Cynthia Valdez, Catherine Valdez-Paul (Andrew), Lisa Aldrich (Jeremy), and Felicia Sanchez (Harold). He is also survived by his many cherished nieces and nephews, including Timothy, Dennis, Joshua, Kandis, Makayla, Josephine, Cameron, Carlos, Estevan, and Nichole, as well as numerous great-nieces and great-nephews whom he adored.

Michael proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for four years. Following his military service, he worked as a plumber for over 25 years, employed by several companies throughout his career.

In his personal life, Michael was a true original. He was a devoted foodie who enjoyed trying new places, loved fishing, watching movies, and was a dedicated Raiders fan. He especially enjoyed relaxing outdoors in the sunshine while listening to oldies music. Michael also had a creative spirit, he enjoyed photography, drawing, and coloring, and took pride in being a left-handed artist.

One of Michael's greatest passions was CB radio. Known by his CB handle, "Patriot," he loved connecting with others over the airwaves and was deeply involved in the CB radio community.

Michael will be remembered for his individuality, creativity, love of conversation, and the deep connections he shared with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
