June 9, 1941 - August 10, 2024
Modesto, California - Shirley M. Pacheco, aged 83, passed away on August 10, 2024, in Riverbank, CA. Born on June 9, 1941, Shirley led a fulfilling life marked by her dedication to her family and her passion for adventure.
Shirley graduated from Modesto High School and furthered her education at Modesto Junior College. She dedicated over 40 years of her career as a Medical Office Assistant, where she was appreciated for her diligence and kindness.
Known for her vibrant and happy personality, Shirley was always ready for a new adventure. She loved exploring beautiful places, whether it was the beach, the mountains, or traveling to new destinations in between with her dear friends. Shirley had a keen interest in trying new restaurants and enjoyed shopping. A true sports enthusiast, she was an avid fan of the Oakland A's and never missed a chance to support her favorite team.
Shirley is survived by her loving children, Richard L. Pacheco (Lori), Marlene Pacheco, and Michele Methvin (Rick). She was a cherished grandmother to Brianne Saavedra (Art), Tyler Owens (Nikki), Kaylin Doty (Chris), Peyton Corn, and Sienna Corn, and a great-grandmother to Jisela Lara, Tyson Owens, and Shay Owens. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Pauline Cunningham, sister, Marilyn Van Dyk and grandson, Richard "Bo" Pacheco.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 26th at 12:00 noon, Lakewood Memorial Park, 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson, CA, where family and friends can gather to honor Shirley's memory. Celebration luncheon at The Fruit Yard immediately following. Her spirit and joy for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
