Steve passed away on Friday, October 9 after a lengthy illness. He was born on April 28, 1958 to Louisa Darner Walter. His biological father, Edward Darner, passed away before Steve was born. He was raised by his step-father, Frank Walter, who was truly his dad. Steve grew up in Waterford, CA where he met his wife, Judy. He had four brothers-Michael, Edward, Robert and Paul. Steve enjoyed many things including deer hunting, going to church and just having fun. His greatest love was the Lord Jesus Christ. After that was his wife and children. Steve is survived by his wife of 35 years, Judy, of Modesto; sons Brett, Tony, Daniel and Michael and his daughter, Tiffany. Also his brothers Robert (Leslie) and Paul (Karen) and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and mother and his brothers, Michael and Edward. Services are on Saturday October 24 at 1:00 p.m. at the Waterford Assembly of God church on 150 Pasadena Ave. in Waterford, CA.

I'll always remember Steve and Judy sitting in his truck at the bus stop. Judy would always jump out and come running at the last minute to catch the bus to Oakdale High School. They were a match made in heaven. Rest in peace Steve.
