THOMAS D. NELSON Sr. JULY 6, 1895 - JAN. 9, 2007 The nations's 2nd oldest living man passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 in Port Arthur, TX where he was a resident for over 60 years. He was born on July 6, 1895 in Louisianna. He owned and operated Nelson's Confectionery in Port Arthur, the area's favorite sweet store. He was 111 years old. He is the first cousin to Joseph Collins of Modesto.
