Manteca, California - Surrounded by her loving family, Violet Ann Perry, 98, entered into rest on July 17, 2021 in her home in Manteca. She was born to the late Joseph and Frances Cardoza on October7, 1922 in Salida, Ca. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband George Perry, son David Perry, grandson Freddy Mullen and son-in-law Fred Mullen and 9 brothers and 7 sisters.
Mrs. Perry is survived by her children; Carolyn Mullen, Art Perry (Dianne) and George Perry (Gail). She was blessed to have nine wonderful grandchildren; Stacy (Bryan) Boudreau, Shelly (John) Losoya, Fred Mullen Jr., Sherry (Ray) Azevedo, Ron (Linda) Perry, Karen (Joe) Widmer, Rob Perry, Amy Perry and George M. Perry (Laurinda), she adored her 18 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.
The matriarch of her family, Violet moved to Manteca when she married her beloved husband George Sr. She was a true farmers wife always supporting her husband and was instrumental in growing the family business. Family was first and foremost with Violet; she always made sure her husband and children were tended to. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church where she and her family have attended for many years. Violet had a strong faith and believed in her Lord Jesus Christ; she always made sure her children knew the importance of prayer, and attending weekly masses. Violet and her husband were a perfect team throughout their 75 years together; they were both involved in their community and very involved with the FESM organization attending many Portuguese celebrations throughout their marriage. Violet and her husband traveled all over the United States attending the National Watermelon conventions annually. She and her husband George also traveled to the Azores with each of their children's families separately to visit their heritage; these were memories that the Perry family will hold near and dear to their hearts for the rest of their lives. Violet was an amazing mother; raising her children she was always involved herself with their activities and was past president of the PTA. She believed in teaching her children and grandchildren life skills such as: canning, baking and sewing. Some of Violet's favorite pastimes were playing Skip-Bo, Pedro and solving word puzzles. Violet will be most remembered for her legacy of love and her respect that she displayed towards her family, friends and her community. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Union Rd. Manteca, Ca. A Mass will be on Monday, July 26, 2021 at 11:00 am held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church 505 E. North St., Manteca, Ca.
