Warren Neil Wiliams
 October 7, 1923 - January 4, 2021
Modesto, California - On January 4th, at 8 p.m. under a clear, bright starlit sky, while surrounded by his adoring family, a gentle soul was released, free at last to reunite with Esther his wife of 58 years and to be received unto the very hands of our loving God for that place He has prepared for them both in Heaven.
With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of our Dear father, grandfather, great -grandfather, and great-great-grandfather (Warren) Neil Williams who passed away peacefully at 97 after living a full, healthy and happy life, surrounded by a loving family in our family home of 67 years in Modesto California on January 4th, 2021.
His name was Warren Neil, but we all knew him as Neil.
He was born on October 7th, 1923 to Floyd and Florence Williams hard-working farmers in the small town of Pottersville among the Ozark mountains in Howell County Missouri in a small home on top of a rolling hill in the countryside that still stands to this day near West Plains.
Neil saw, worked, and lived through the Great Depression and great poverty from that era, served in the Army during World War II and witnessed every world event since, but moved to California after the war and poured himself into work at Flotilla, Tillie Lewis, and Stanislaus foods canneries in order to build the family home in 1954 on the edge of the countryside in Modesto California to provide for his four children Karen, Ken, Kevin and Kris and his wife of 58 years Esther Williams, who he joins now and who preceded him in 2012. He raised them all to hunt, fish, camp, and ride trail bikes in and around Californias Sierra mountains. He enjoyed his shop and ran a TV repair business out of his garage and loved western movies, and reading his favorite Louis L'Amour and Zane Grey western books. He was president of the TT radio club in the '70s and was a long-standing member of the Davis Park Church of Christ, where he and Esther were baptized and was a joyful, gentle and faithful husband, father, friend, and child of Christ.
He leaves behind his four children, six Grandchildren, Twelve Great Grandchildren, and two Great-great Grand Children. Daughter Karen Spann, Sons Kenneth Williams, Kevin Williams, and Kris Williams.
