CAROLYN JOAN LABRIOLA
(1938-2024)
SONNY: Born on January 23, 1937 in Blue Island, Illinois, founded Labriola Masonry in 1967, dedicating his life to his work, family, and community. Known for his skill and strong work ethic, he continued to be an active, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather even after retiring in 1999. The business was continued by his son Mark and daughter-in-law, Lori, who ran the company until today. The family business is now being carried forward by the third generation of Labriolas, with Sonny's grandson Cole at the helm.
CAROLYN: Born on December 14, 1938 in Monterey Park,
California, married Sonny in 1957, and together they shared 66 years of love. She worked as the secretary of Labriola Masonry, a bank teller, and a personal banker at Valley National Bank for 27 years. Carolyn's true joy was her family.
Her infectious smile, talent for cake decorating, and unwavering support for Sonny and their loved ones left a lasting impact.
Sonny and Carolyn met at a drive-up diner in California. Carolyn caught a glance from Sonny and remarked to her friends, " I'm going to marry that man." Thus began a love story fit for a Hallmark movie.
Together, Sonny and Carolyn raised three children: Toni, Tammie, and Mark; and were proud grandparents to eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
They are survived by countless family members and friends whose lives were changed for the better by being blessed to be part of Sonny and Carolyn's life.
A devoted couple and pillars in their community, Sonny and Carolyn exemplified love, hard work, and commitment. Their legacy of kindness, love, and dedication will continue through their family and all who knew them.
A celebration of their lives will be held at Calvary Chapel, 1690 Newberry Drive, Bullhead City, Arizona on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 2p.m. Reception to follow at the Mohave Shrine Club at 2580 Miracle Mile, Bullhead City, Arizona.
Rest in peace, Sonny and Carolyn. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
