ELDON HARMON

Eldon Harmon, age 71, an 11-year Golden Valley resident, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016 in Golden Vally. He was born on May 9, 1945 in Oakdale, Calif. Eldon lost his battle with cancer after a brave fight.

Forever In Our Hearts!

Eldon was a retired realtor and spent 37 years in banking. He was chairman for Oakdale High School Life Celebration, a Nascar fan, enjoyed camping and Texas Hold'em.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, John and Nina Harmon; daughter, Karen Jean Harmon; brother, Earl Coley; and sister, Mozella Brown.

Eldon is survived by his wife of 32 years, Barbara Harmon of Golden Valley, Ariz.; son, Weston Lee Harmon of Modesto, Calif.; grandson/adopted son, Joseph (Jennifer) Harmon, (their daughters, Alyssa and Ashlee) of Ft. Mohave, Ariz.; step-son, Jeff (Denise) Scott (their daughter, Markee) of Modesto; four sisters, Ellen Mentoza of Modesto, Janie Price of Tooele, Utah, Glada Cook of Riverbank, Calif., and Joann (Larry) Worth of Johnson City, Texas; daughter-in-law, Sherry Harmon of Henderson, Nev.; sister-in-law, Pat Bush of Henderson, Nev.; grand-daughter, Natalie Harmon (her son, Malachi) of Henderson, Nev.; grandsons, Kiel (Naomi) Harmon (their son, Liam) of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Derrick Harmon of Las Vegas, Nev. and many other family and friends.

Thank you to KRMC Hospice, staff of CCCN, especially Jesika and Dr. Charles Bruso of Tri-State Radiation Oncology, not just a doctor but a friend.

May you Rest In Peace dear friend Eldon, and may God give your family comfort and strength through this sad and difficult time. You were key in keeping your friends posted as to the status of Oakdale High School alumni for many years, and a workhorse in keeping the Oakdale High School Life Celebration on a successful schedule, and to be honored and appreciated for doing so.
You had a big heart, and demonstrated sincere concern for others. Your many friends, including my brother Earl and I were honored to have had you as a friend, and are going to miss you immensely.

We are so very glad that we got to see you and Barbara 2 years ago in Quirtsite we had a great long visit on Sat then you and Barbara insisted on cooking us breakfast before we headed north the next morning, you will forever be in our thoughts and lots of prayers for Barbara to find God's peace in your absence, you were loved by so many more people then you realized.
