Meryia Cassandra Toniann Loftin, at the young age of 20, passed away too soon on Sunday, December 10, 2023. She was a resident of Mohave Valley, Arizona.
Meryia was born in Needles, California on June 21, 2003 to her parents Alexandra "Hula" Garcia and Jason Loftin Sr. She was engaged to Bryan Stolfus and expecting a baby boy Stolfus. She was the Godmother to Aurora Collins.
Meryia attended Mohave Elementary School and Mohave Jr. High School in Mohave Valley, Arizona. She graduated from Needles High School in 2021.
Meryia worked at the Boys and Girls Club for the summer program and most recently was a Direct Support Professional at Rise Services, Inc. She loved her job, animals, and enjoyed her time with family and friends. She was most loved by all who knew her. Prayers are requested.
Meryia is survived by her mother, Alexandra "Hula" Garcia and father, Jason Loftin Sr.; sisters, Joni Jenkins, Jonna Jenkins; brothers, AJ Martinez and Jason Loftin Jr.; Uncles, Jacob Knox (Kelly), John Garcia Jr., Simon Garcia Jr., Frederick D. Knox, Joseph Loftin, Jonathan Loftin, and Tommy Loftin (Valerie); Grandparents, Charlotte Knox, Simon Garcia Sr. (Monica), Erna "Candi" and James Loftin.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm (AZ time) on Friday, January 5, 2023, at the Fort Mojave Tribal Gymnasium, 500 Merriman Avenue. Needles, California.
Traditional services will follow at the Fort Mojave Mourning Hall, 700 Harrison St., Needles, California. Cremation will commence at 4:00 a.m. (AZ time) on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at the Fort Mojave Tribal Cemetery, 800 Harrison St. Needles, California.
