RICHARD URBAN, SR. Obituary

RICHARD DALE URBAN, SR.
Richard Dale Urban, Sr., age 86, died peacefully on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Valley View Medical Center. He was a resident of Fort Mohave, Arizona for 11 years. He was born on October 22, 1934 in Sciotoville, Ohio; the youngest of 10 children.
Richard came to Arizona with his mother in 1947, and graduated from Litchfield Park High School in 1953. He spent four years in the U.S. Air Force, where he met and married his wife, Bonnie on December 20, 1956 at Fort Lewis Army Post in Washington State. He worked two years for Melpar Electronics in Arlington, Virginia, then for General Electric Company in Phoenix. Honeywell bought G.E., and he retired after 30 years from Honeywell. Before retiring, he received his Bachelor's Degree and flying license, and worked for Honeywell Europe for almost three years in Brussels, Belgium. He retired to Chino Valley and was active in the Prescott Civil Air Patrol while living there. After living in Chino Valley for 12 years, he moved to Fort Mohave.
Richard is survived by his wife, Bonnie; his son, Richard (Kathy) Urban, Jr. and grandson, Jon (Ryan) Urban of Chino Valley: grandson, Robert Urban of Phoenix; and two great-grandsons, Leo and Nico Urban of Chino Valley.
A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Bullhead City Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1752 Arriba Drive, Bullhead City, Arizona 86442.
A graveside service in Phoenix on December 20 is still in the planning stages.
