STEVEN WARREN Obituary

STEVEN MICHAEL WARREN

On Sunday March 4, 2018, Steven Michael Warren "Big Steve", age 65, passed away in his home with the love of his life Christine Warren by his side. Son of Col. Foster "Bud" Warren (USAF) and Margaret Pauline Warren, "Peg", who preceded him in death. Steve's brothers Foster Hugh, Thomas Charles, and daughters, Roseanne and Susanne also preceded him in death.

Steve was well known and well loved and was the owner of Cal-Nev-Ari Construction, a tri-state area local business specializing in steel building erection. He was very proud of his steel erections, often boasting that his erections would stay stronger and last longer than any company around. In all seriousness Steve Warren was a man with a big personality and a huge heart. His honest, boisterous nature, endeared him to his many lifelong friends, business associates, and beloved family. In his own words and incomparable humor he would say "my name is written on the wall of every construction site port-a-toilet in the Colorado river valley"- There is no doubt, they were all kind words of praise!

In his personal life Steve enjoyed many things, including reading, traveling, riding motorcycles, boating, and most of all spending time in the company of his most beloved, his soul-mate, Christine. As life-guards at the Ft. Richie Maryland pool, they began a legendary love that few will ever be lucky enough to experience. During their 46 years of marriage Steve would lovingly refer to Chris as "lucky" because she was married to him and then watch as everybody rolled their eyes because all who were close knew quite well whom the lucky one truly was. Chris and Steve were the best and closest of friends and stood by each other through all the trials and joys of their lives.

Steve is survived by his son, Steven Foster Warren and daughter in-law, Tara Gail Warren and grandson, Steven of Independence, Kentucky; as well as his adopted sons, Ryan Gatlin of Ft. Mohave and Benjamin Lewis of Billings Montana; his siblings and their spouses, Anthony and Judith Warren of Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky and Anne and Mark Murray of Walpole, Massachusetts.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (NV time) on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the Big Bend Park, Laughlin, Nev.

Steven Michael Warren you were a kind man, and your life and your love and your light were seen and felt by those who knew and loved you. I love you dad. – Steve O

The very first time I met him and he asked me if Ben Lewis was my son and I said depends, what did he do? He laughed and said yep you're Ben's Mom and now I know where he gets that humor from. It was funny. Then he told me how proud he was of you and that you were a great worker! Thank you Big Steve and Christine for loving my son like your own. You can't possibly understand what that means to me. Big Steve was the best Father Benjamin ever had. We will meet again Love KayLyn

Dearest Chris and Steven, I am deeply saddened finding myself drifting to the past and all the fun times we had. Steve was such a character in which I am most honored to have considered him one of my closest friends. Chris be strong and know my heart goes out to you. He loved you deeply, you were his soulmate and partner in all the things you did. Always remember the Grannys luncheon in Laughlin. Such a memorable time. Bless you guys.
