Anna C. Ery

1921 - 2018

Anna Caroline (Fischer) Ery, age 96, of Arlington, Texas, passed away on September 27, 2018 in the care of her daughter and Castle Rock Assisted Living.
Anna was born on December 16, 1921 in Riga, Michigan to Frederick George Fischer and Amelia Gustav (Bruhn) Fischer. She was one of 13 siblings. She married Grant Ery in January of 1938 and was blessed with three daughters: Sharon Ann (Burchette), Patricia Kay Ery and Kathy Sue (Trainor).
She spent her life in service of her God, her husband and her children, displaying nothing but kindness and caring for her whole family. Anna was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed her times in the Upper Peninsula doing both. She and her husband moved to Hessel, Michigan in the late 1970's where they were able to enjoy their retirement for many years.
Eventually they moved to Tucson, Arizona, where they lived peacefully in a retirement community until the passing of Anna's husband. She then moved to Arlington, Texas to be close to her youngest daughter, Kathy Trainor, where she lived out her remaining years in the comfort of her daughter's arms.
Anna Ery lived her life as a force for good; believing in the mantra "Live and let live." Her gentle and beautiful soul made it easy for anyone who met her to fall in love with her. Anna's love for her God gave her the power to weather many storms, including the passing of her daughter, grand-daughter and her husband.
She will be deeply missed by her children, grand-children and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, many of her siblings, her daughter - Sharon (Ery) Burchette and her grand-daughter, Dawn Marie Bruns.
A memorial service will be held at Roselawn Cemetary in LaSalle on Saturday at 2 p.m. It will be officiated by Grace Lutheran Church Deacon Bob Auxter.
