Mike...just found out today that you are gone. Can't believe it. Was going to come see you now that I am retired. Will never forget all the crazy things we did at the VA. You were the best mentor anyone could have had . You showed me all the hiding places..where we could play cards..and take it easy. But when there was work to be done..you..me and the p.m. shift did it. I will remember you as long as I am on this earth. Will see you at the next Roll Call up above. Rest easy my friend.

Mike and I were in 3rd platoon, Delta 1/7 First Cavalry in Vietnam and Cambodia. Mike was the RTO. We were good friends. Mike was a very brave soldier, fearless, especially in Cambodia, and was decorated three times for valor. The platoon and the lieutenants trusted and respected him. I'm deeply saddened by his loss.

From my earliest memories, you were a neighbor, a friend and another brother. It seems you were always a part of my family. Some of the best memories I have are of times we went target shooting or hunting, or just sat around drinking coffee. You always had a way of telling a story and making me laugh. We ran out of time for the bike ride and I know you tried your best on that one. You had a big heart, a strong will and a kind soul. You will be greatly missed.

On November 28th I lost my Hero, my best friend, my rock. He was one of the best things in my life and now a part of me is missing because I no longer have him. Rest in peace Mike. I will miss you so much and try to go on until one day when we see each other again. You will always be my angel. I love you.
