Gary Lentz Obituary

Gary N. Lentz, age 76, of Monroe, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at Regency Health Care Center in Taylor. Gary was born March 27, 1945, in Monroe, MI to Shirley and Esther (Kurtz) Lentz. He married Karen Ann Duvall on April 29, 1967, in Monroe.
Gary worked at Tenneco as a Director of credit in finance. After leaving Tenneco, Gary enjoyed building and refinishing furniture and also worked for The Monroe Evening News as a District Manager in distribution. Once he retired, Gary enjoyed golfing, fishing and watching football.
Surviving are Gary's wife, Karen Lentz of Monroe; 2 sons, Travis Drake of Monroe and Michael Lentz of Monroe; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Keith Lentz of Ohio; and 1 sister, Diane (Tom) Kaper of Ohio. Gary is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley and Esther Lentz.
Cremation will take place at this time and a memorial service will be planned for a later date. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in Gary's memory may do so by making the donation to Grace Lutheran Church. The Allore Chapel-Martenson Family of Funeral Homes is handling arrangements.
