Isabelle Craig Obituary

Isabelle I. Craig, age 90, of Blissfield, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021, peacefully but unexpectedly. She was born February 3, 1931, in Britton Michigan, the daughter of Harold and Leah (Palmer) Craig.

She was the mother of 4 children: Gaylord (Diane) Montry, Sue (Rick) Barta, Marty (Missi) Stasko and Cindy Montry, who passed away in 1977. She had 6 grandchildren: Jennifer (Mark) Burkheiser, Gabrielle Badder, Tennille (Steve) Taraszkiewicz, Travis (Ginnie) Barta, Dylan Stasko and Ciara (Josh) Stasko; 7 great-grandchildren, David Richardson, Gavin Badder, Natalie Burkheiser, Tyler Taraszkiewicz, Reagan Barta, Sayler Stasko and Rhett Ladd; also surviving are sisters, Dorothy Bunek, Catherine Jones and Phyllis Perry.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Cindy; brothers, Dale, Charles, Oliver and baby Craig and sisters, Janice Porterfield, Geraldine Keran and Virginia Wells.

She loved to cook and bake. She made the best pies and loved to make and decorate her famous sugar cookies. She enjoyed mowing lawn and tending to her flowers.

Private graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Ridgeway Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh. Condolences to the family may be made online at www.pursefuneralhome.com.
