Matthew Kroeger Obituary

Matthew Scott Kroeger was born in Riverview, Michigan on December 18, 1998. He was born from the union of Scott Edward and Candy Lynn (Begley) Kroeger.
Matthew was an excellent student with the class of 2017 at Jefferson High School, holding a steady 4.0 GPA.
He had big dreams of going to college and studying the medical field, in hopes to become an anesthesiologist.
Matthew was raised to be the hard worker that he was, he spent the summer working at Olga's Kitchen and Wendy's in order to save as much money as possible. He took great pride in purchasing and maintaining his own vehicles. Matthew had a strong passion for cars and hunting.
He also went on several fishing trips with his grandfather through the years. Matthew enjoyed spending his free time hanging out with friends. Over anything, he loved nothing more than the time spent with his family. Matthew was very close with his nieces and his nephew, by whom he will be dearly missed.
Matthew was a very respectable and loving young man, with the willingness to help anyone. He simply had a heart of gold.
Matthew Scott Kroeger, age 17 of Newport, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 in Toledo, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather: Edward Kroeger; his maternal grandfather: Hershel Begley; and his maternal grandparents: Pamela and Milton Weeks.
To cherish his memory, Matthew leaves his loving parents: Scott and Candy Lynn Kroeger; two brothers: Michael (Jennifer) Stapleton of Romulus and Raymond Kroeger of Newport, two sisters: Brittany Kroeger of Monroe and Crystal Stapleton of Woodhaven; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Sad to read of Matthew's passing in the Monroe News. I worked as a bus driver for Jefferson schools and remember how polite and quiet he always was. He was raised well. God bless him. So very sorry for your loss. Mike Williams
