Patricia A. Adam

1930 - 2016

Patricia A. Adam, age 86 of Carleton, died at 5:30 a.m. Saturday, August 20th at Medilodge of Monroe. She had been in declining health for five months.
Family and friends may visit from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Rupp Funeral Home where a Scripture Service will be held at 4 p.m.
She will lie instate at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Divine Grace Parish, Carleton. Mass of the Resurrection celebrating her life will begin at 10 a.m. The church pastor, Rev. Steven Mateja will officiate.
Cremation will follow in accordance with her wishes.
Born April 23, 1930 in Detroit, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Eleanor (Hintze) Forton. She married James P. Adam on February 9, 1952 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan.
As a teller, Patricia was employed by A.M. Federal Credit Union in Troy, Dana Federal Credit Union in Ecorse, and Metro Shores Credit Union in Trenton before retiring 1995.
Patricia was a member of Divine Grace Parish (St. Patrick Catholic Church) in Carleton, and the Floral City Model A Club. She was an avid quilter and together with her husband Jim, they enjoyed snowmobiling and traveling in their motor home over a period of forty years.
Patricia is survived by her husband Jim; five children, Lynne (Sam) Suazo of Alamosa, Colorado, Sherry (Spencer) Price of Schoolcraft, Timothy Adam of Chesterfield Twp., Geri (John) Desaussure of Southfield, and Michael (Debbie) Adam of Newport; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Patricia is also preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Forton and Brother Patrick (Gerard) Forton.
