Rolf Goerlich Obituary
Born February 23, 1944, in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, he was the son of Walter and Gertrude (Froelich) Goerlich. He was a 1962 graduate of Bedford High School and was employed by Arcadis Engineering (formerly Finkbeiner, Pettis & Strout) for 28 years, retiring in 2011. He also owned and operated Goerlich Land Surveyors. He married Denise (Whitenburg) Bair on December 30, 2005. Rolf enjoyed gardening and bird watching.
He is survived by his loving wife, Denise; children, Liesa Eichner, Lora (Mike) Copeland and Chris (Jessica) Goerlich; stepson, Eric (Becky) Bair; sister, Verena (Denny) Frisch; and 8 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepson, Michael Bair.
Visitation will be from 3-8 pm, Thursday, October 20, 2016, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held Friday, October 21, 2016 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Resurrection Cemetery. www.pawlakfuneralhome.com

Our thoughts are certainly with Rolf's family during this period of grief. We know that his thoughts, hopes, and dreams are not lost and continue to live on through the memories of the members of his loving family and of those of us who had the privilege of knowing him.
