ARDYCE JOHNSON Ardyce "Ardy" Johnson, 86, of Montevideo, Minnesota passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at The Rivers Assisted Living in Burnsville. Funeral service will be held Thursday, October 16, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Granite Falls. Ardyce Jean Johnson was born December 12, 1938, the daughter of Gilman Kenneth and Pearl (Knutsen) Holien in Montevideo. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Ardy attended school in Montevideo and graduated in 1957. Ardy was united in marriage with Burdell Johnson on June 2, 1962, also at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. The couple made their home in Montevideo and were blessed with two children, Lorie and Todd. They shared over 50 years of marriage when Burdell passed away on December 28, 2013. Ardy worked at the Montevideo High School in both the kitchen and laundry before retiring. Her hobbies included playing Bingo and watching Wheel of Fortune. Ardy loved visiting relatives, going for walks and also going to the casino. Ardyce is survived by her children, Lorie Johnson of Apple Valley, Todd Johnson of Apple Valley; sister, Maxine Holien; brother, Terry Holien; as well as other family and friends. Ardy was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Pearl; her husband, Burdell; siblings, Kenneth Holien, Bette Darrington. Arrangements are with the Wing-Bain Funeral Home of Montevideo.
