Billy Edgar Daniel, 81, passed away Tuesday morning following a brief bout with cancer. After serving in the Navy, he worked over 40 years as a barber in Marlin, Texas then as supervisor of the barber shop at the Naval Postgraduate School. In his later years, he enjoyed working in the garden department at the Seaside Home Depot. He is survived by three daughters, Judy Gallagher of Del Rey Oaks, Terry Woycheshin and Lori Bowman of Marlin, Texas, numerous grand- and great-grandchildren and five siblings. Two daughters preceded him in death, Vicki Kohl and Susan Young. Memorial will be held at his Monterey home on Sunday, April 19 at 4 p.m.
