Resident of La Quinta

They were married on September 11, 1971, sharing almost 50 years of love and happiness. In the late 1990's, he created The Claude Crabb Foundation to raise monies for the Boys and Girls Club as well as a variety of other local youth programs, highlighted by his annual Celebrity Golf Classic. His love of golf and mentorship, led him to working his later years as a marshal for The Desert Willow Golf Resort in Palm Desert, CA. He thoroughly enjoyed the game of golf and played a round whenever he got the chance. Claude's personality lit up the room and touched everyone he met. He made a special connection with anyone he crossed paths with and always put others before himself. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather, always showing his unwavering love and support to all.
Claude leaves behind his wife Kay, children Shawnah married to Zemont Brown with daughter Alannah and Stacey married to Jamie Nielsen with children Joshua, Jalen and Danika, siblings Gary and Dennis Crabb, George Cornford, Karen Johnson and Lois Kreeger, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Claude is preceded in death by his parents, Claude Crabb Sr. and Christine Finkey, grandson Devinn Brown, and niece Claudia Johnson-Goodrich.

We had a class reunion last September and we all knew that Claude was there in spirit. He attended many of the reunions we had over the years, MUHS class of 1958, Everyone spoke of Claude in great admiration, reminding all of us that he was gone but was a cherished member of our class. Well liked, indeed, I doubt anyone can say anything but good things about our missing friend. In character and athleticism and as a great classmate, Claude was a prince among us,

One of the best all around athlete who ever played at Monterey High. I was a football teammate and close friend. Claude had many a pre game meal at my house. He was one of my moms favorites. His picture was included on her wall of fame. He and Benny Enea will be having great fun, talking over old times

It's been many years since we helped around Monterey Wholesale. Your Dad and mine, putting up with us as we 'accidentally' dropped a few watermelons as we unloaded the truck, so we could eat the hearts of the melons. Playing 'burn out' with oranges, until one of us got splattered. So many memories of those early years. You will be missed. God speed on your next journey.
