Judy Jackson-DiMiceli Obituary

Judy Lee Jackson DiMiceli was born on August 20, 1949 in Kansas. She passed away at home in Citrus Heights (Sacramento) on May 2, 2023 from the long term effects of COPD. Judy attended schools in Pacific Grove, graduating from Pacific Grove High School (S'67). She lived in Salinas while she worked for the Dick Bruhn Inc. as a buyer and manager of M'Lady Bruhn. In 1981, Judy married Mike DiMiceli and moved to Citrus Heights, where she continued to work as a buyer for Butler's Uniforms (Sacramento), one of the Bruhn stores, until she retired in the 90s. Throughout her life, Judy had a passion for flower gardening, earning the coveted Master Gardener certificate from the University of California Cooperative Extension and creating an extensive and varied garden at her home. She and other Master Gardeners frequently appeared at nurseries throughout the Sacramento area to answer questions and offer advice for growing and maintaining plants. She was known among family and friends as an excellent and creative cook, preparing large family meals and teaching her children and grandchildren to cook. Judy's pride and joy was her family and she attended the school and athletic events of her children and grandchildren too numerous to list.Judy is survived by her husband, Mike DiMiceli, sister Paula Jackson (Vacaville), best friend Bonnie Alvarado (Salinas), daughters Melani (Roseville), Stacy (Citrus Heights), Mia (Citrus Heights), son Bob (Lincoln), six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be at El Carmelo Cemetery, Pacific Grove, on August 1, 2023, 1:00PM.
