Mark A. Maschmeyer

1952 - 2022

Mark, age 70, passed away on October 30, 2022. He was born in Carmel to John and Marileen Maschmeyer.Mark resided in Prunedale, where he enjoyed gardening and tending to his orchard. Mark grew up around siblings and cousins. As a young child, he lived across the street from his grandparents on Noche Buena St. in Seaside and moved to Laureles Grade at age 7.Family and friends remember Mark as being a positive and cheerful man. Mark liked fishing in Monterey Bay and bird hunting in the mountains of Carmel Valley and the Central Valley. He was a crack shot! He also liked to contra dance. Mark was a union electrician for 40 years and owned his own business, Salinas Energy Svc. Mark is survived by his children Jason, Eric, Darlene & Everett Maschmeyer, and his siblings Dave Maschmeyer, Eve Valdez, Paul Maschmeyer and Ann Lowery. A celebration of Mark's life will be held Sunday, Dec. 4, from Noon-5pm at Carmel Valley Trail & Saddle Club, 85 E. Garzas Rd, Carmel Valey.
