PEBBLE BEACH - Norman Wesley Calkins, age 92, passed away at Ave Maria Convalescent Hospital of Monterey on September 7, 2011 after a long illness. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joan Calkins. At his request no services are planned. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ave Maria Convalescent Hospital, 1249 Josselyn Canyon Road, Monterey, CA 93940; Hospice of the Central Coast, 2 Upper Ragsdale Dr., #D-210, Monterey, CA 93940; or to the donor's favorite charity.
