I visited Carmel on business from 1976 through '78 and moved there in '78. I was a young entrepreneur and wine enthusiast. Mister Caniglio taught me all the basics of appreciating and recognizing fine wines: Barolos, Brunellos, Barbarescos,Chiantis, Classicos, Barberas, Everything!
California wines: Heitz Martha's Vineyard, Mondavi Reserve Cabernets, Duckhorn Merlots, on and on.
First Growth Quality wines of all types.

I owe so much to this fine gentleman and his warm family. I have been in the wine business for decades because Signore' showed me the love- of wine and people.

Thank you Signore,
Dr. Tomato AKA Roscoe Maas

I hope you are all well. Mr. Caniglio was one of the finest men I've known in my sixty years.
