Rory Elder Obituary
Monterey – Rory Nitatohbi Elder, age 57, made his transition on Friday, February 9, 2007. He is survived by his wife, Vicky; his children, Travis, Kyle & Brianna; his father, James Pushmataha; and his siblings, Paul, Scott and Teresa Greenhaw.
Rory and his wife, Vicky, have served as the Co-Ministers of Unity of Monterey Bay since 1998, co-creating a commUnity of love, light & service. Rory's greatest joy was his family, his greatest fulfillment, being a "dad." He seldom missed a Monterey High baseball game-watching with pride, as Travis & Kyle played and feeling like he had a whole team of sons to cheer on. His daughter, Brianna & her husband, Salvador, were also a constant source of love and inspiration.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, February 15, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Unity of Monterey Bay, (831/372-0457). In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made in his name to the United Religions Initiative (www.uri.org), Unity of Monterey Bay (www.unitymontereybay.org), or other charity.

As a mother of a daughter who knows Travis and Kyle I send condolences and sympathy to the entire Elder clan. As a life-long seeker of the truth and a reader of the Daily Word I thank Rory & Vicky for devoting their lives to the teachings and message of Unity.

How so blessed we feel to have had Rory & Vicky perform our renewal of of our 20th wedding anniversary vows I love watching the DVD Rory was so full of Love & Life, A memory of Rory we will all cherish forever.
