ALVA DACIL CHANDLER

CHANDLER, Mr. Alva Dacil, 75, a resident of Tallassee, AL, died Wednesday, May 9, 2001 at Jackson Hospital of Montgomery. He was born on January 30, 1926. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 11, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. from Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Varner officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his wife Margaret Chandler of Tallassee, AL; son, Don Chandler of Montgomery, AL; brothers, Winston Chandler of Hughley, AL and Russell (Mary) Chandler of Tallassee, AL; sisters, Ophelia Coleman of Williston, FL and Abigail Hornsby of Montgomery, AL; brother-in-law, Jessie (Jean) Nasworthy of Tallassee, AL; granddaughter, Jessica Ransom of Tallassee, AL and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Chandler was the owner and operator of the East Tallassee Cafe for 26 years. He is preceded in death by an infant son, Larry Charles Chandler.
