Celebration of a life well lived. David Burr Wilcox, age 84, passed from this temporary life into the glorious presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus on February 8, 2021. He was surrounded by his adoring children. He is survived by his 7 children, James (Patricia) Wilcox, Johnny (Mary) Wilcox, Sylvia (Harry) Kirchhoff, Rosemary (Chris) Mills, Sarah Session, Miriam (Erik) Rohe and Peter (Amanda) Wilcox, sister Freddie Lu Saunders, brother Ernie (Bonnie) Wilcox and his grandchildren, Josh Wilcox, John Wilcox, Brittany Wilcox, Daniel Wilcox, Grace Kirchhoff, Sophia Kirchhoff, Joshua (Kelsey) Kirchhoff, Elizabeth Burr Kirchhoff, David Kirchhoff, Christina (Tyler) Archer, Merideth (Cody) Lindsey, Christian Mills, Emily Hernandez, Jacob Hernandez, Ava Session, Isabel Rohe, Abigail Rohe, Ivan Rohe, Alexander Rohe, Timothy (Vivian) Wilcox, Addie Wilcox, Autumn Wilcox, Jessica Judy, Isaac Wilcox, and great grandchildren, Gavin Archer, Owen Archer, Jonah Kirchhoff, nieces Rebecca (Bruno)Perree, Elane Redman, nephews Mark (Amy) Redman, Edward (Madeline) Wilcox.
David grew up in Coral Gables Florida with his sister and brother. He served in the Air Force from 1955-1959. He was an avid pilot and absolutely loved flying. He was married to Mary Ellen Wilcox for 28 years. He worked in sales after leaving the Airforce until he retired. He raised his 7 children in Alpharetta Georgia and moved to Alabama upon retirement. Throughout his life David's greatest passion was to tell everyone he met about Jesus. He is now with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and all is well!
Memorial service to be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 1:00 pm 12 Stone Church in Hamilton Mill, Buford, GA. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to assist in Daddy's final flight to his resting place in Florida.
