I just learned of Coach Garner's passing. My late husband, Bill, worked with him at Floyd, and always had great respect for him. I am so glad we got to go to the reunion he and Sandy had at their home several years ago. Coach Garner will be remembered with good thoughts. You are all in my prayers. Joan Bonnett

Coach Garner has a precious place in my heart. He was such a positive influence on me, as well as all students he came into contact with at Floyd Junior High. I'm so glad I got to see him a few years ago at my mom's church. My prayers are with his family. So glad to know he's with Jesus and not in pain anymore and I'll see him again one day. (he's got everybody in heaven running around the track! Ha, ha!)

Our condolences to Pat Jr., Angie, Trey, Kristen, David, and the entire Garner family. I (Sam) was in school with Pat at Troy, and made causal contact through the years through sports. We were able to reconnect more closely when our daughter, Meghan, enrolled at ACA and was in class with Kristen. Always enjoyed talking with Pat at athletic events and school functions. He was known not only as being a great educator, but also a good man. Again our condolences to all. Sam and Regina Stringer
