WALP, Kenneth Charles, age60, of Montgomery died Sat¡urday, November 13, 2010.He was born in Quakertown,PA, on April 30, 1950, to thelate Alfred C. and Ruth(Banes) Walp. Jay R. SmithMfg. Co. employed Kenn for35 years, during the last 15years as VP of IS&t. He servedas an officer of his neighbor¡hood association for threeyears, the Ballroom Club forten years, and the Montgom¡ery Ballroom Dancers for twoyears. His civic life includedarts patronage at Davis The¡ater and ASF, participating inMontgomery's coalition ofneighborhood associations,organizing neighborhoodwatch and graduating SeniorPolice Academy. As a be¡loved father and husband,he led by example with hardwork, determination and gen¡erosity. He was predeceasedby a sister, Nancy I. and herhusband, Richard Lerch. Heis survived by his wife, SusanW. Walp; his son, Joseph C.Walp (Margarita P). of SanFrancisco; his daughter, Eliza¡beth A. Woodward (David) ofMontgomery; sister KathleenM. Walp of Quakertown, PA;brother Phillip L. Walp (Ba¡rbara C.) of Montgomery;and nephews & nieces.Family and friends are invitedto the Visitation on Thursday,November 18, 2010, at 6 pm,followed by a Celebration ofLife Service at 7pm, at Ala¡bama Heritage FuneralHome, 10505 Atlanta Hwy. Hewill be interred later in Quak¡ertown, PA. Online expres¡sions of sympathy can be re¡corded at www.alabamaher¡itagefh.com.
