Lola B. Scott was born January 23, 1951 in Phenix City, Alabama to the late Jesse and Jessie (Helen) Battle. God in His Infinite wisdom and compassion called his servant to rest on Sunday, September 11, 2016, at her home due to colon cancer.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Gillard Missionary Baptist Church, 3323 Day Street, Montgomery, Al, 36108, with Henry Carnegie, Jr, officiating, and Ross-Clayton Funeral Home directing. Interment in Columbus, GA at Park Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Scott served as a community organizer at Montgomery Community Action Agency for 39 years. Lola was a dedicated and faithful member of Mt. Gillard Missionary Baptist Church serving in numerous capacities. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Her presence will be missed by all who knew her. She leaves to cherish her loving memories, a loyal and devoted son, Marco Battle of Houston, TX ; a beloved and dedicated daughter, Cicely (Kelven) Miller of Montgomery, Al, a brother Sidney Battle of Columbus, GA; an aunt, Susie M. Joyce of Montgomery, Al; a beloved granddaughter, Tiasha Scott; two beloved grandsons; Keelen Miller and Kamden Miller, all of Montgomery, Al; one great grandson, Tyler Mathews of Montgomery, Al; three sisters- in- law Lillian Wilson of Waterbury, Connecticut, Lou Ella Jackson and Emma Russell of Montgomery, Al; devoted cousins, Bertha Diggs of Phenix City, Al, Lola Littlejohn of Columbus, GA, Elizabeth Jefferson of Phenix City, Al, Victor Diggs of Phenix City, Al, Nicole Sellers, and Oscar Webster of Montgomery, Al; a devoted and loving niece Valerie Martin of Montgomery, Al; faithful and devoted friends, Fermer Prince, Sandra Stephens, Doris Brown, Bertha Jordan, and Edwina Martin, all of Montgomery, Al; Julie McGhee, of Helicon, Al and Lola Ann Scott of Columbus, GA; and a host of devoted and loving nieces, nephews, cousins, coworkers, church family and friends. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral services
