MICHAEL BUCKELEW Obituary

BUCKELEW, Michael Jason, age 30, a resident of Houston, Texas, died Friday, August 30, 2002. Funeral ser-vices will be held Friday, Septemb-er 6, 2002 at 1:00 P.M. at Frazer Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Salminien and Paul Sims officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Gassett Funeral Home of Wetumpka Directing. Ja-son loved deeply and was loved in return. He is preceded in death by a special cousin, Tommy Pinson; aunt, Ruth Payne; uncle, Ralph Pin-son; maternal grandparents, Aletha and Ralph Pinson, Sr.; paternal grandfather, E.J. Buckelew. He is survived by his mother, Pennie Buckelew of Wetumpka, AL; his father, Mike Buckelew and wife, Jo of Austin, Texas; sister, Kimberly Buckelew Herring; grandmother, Jackie Buckelew of Austin, Texas; uncle, Tom Pinson and wife Clo-thilde of Verbena, AL; uncle, Ron-nie Buckelew and wife Jesse of Aus-tin, Texas; aunt, Vicki Buckelew of Houston, Texas; niece, Kayla Her-ring; special cousins, Colt, Shana, Steve, Diana, Laura, Mark, Diane, Kathy and Bill; special life long friends, Chris Brannon, Joyce Big-bee, Karen Powell, Judy McLean, Norris Green, Frank Gitschier, Victor Vernon, Bill Newton, Lou and Ed Ta-tum. Pallbearers will be Chris Bran-non, Robby Gray, Kevin Wilson, Teddy Beasley, Stewart Hendrix and Andre Gray. Visitation will be Thur-sday, September 5, 2002 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Gassett Fu-neral Home. Flowers are welcome or donations may be made to Ala-bama School for the Deaf Athletic Department or to V.O.C.A.L. (Vi-ctims of Crime and Leniency).
