PATRICIA ANN RISCH

RISCH, Patricia Ann, 66, unexpectedly passed away Thursday, July 17, 2008 at herhome in Biloxi, MS. She wasborn in Cripple Creek, Colorado on March 17, 1942. Shewas the only child of Eno Leslie DeWerff and Loretta Lorean (LaMontagne) DeWerff. Pat Risch was raised in Victor,Colorado, graduated fromhigh school in Boulder, CO.She began a life-long commitment to education at Otero Junior College, La Junta,CO, graduating with a degree in nursing. During herlifetime she earned numerousdegrees including a Bachelors in Literature an MBA anda Masters in Nursing. A registered nurse for over 40years, Ms. Risch worked in numerous hospitals in the U.S.and other countries includingJapan, Vietnam, Thibodaux,LA; Slidell, LA; Montgomery,AL; Seattle, WA., Boone, NC.and Abu Dhabi in the UnitedArab Emirates. She was passionate about caring for others and was well known forher generous, compassionate nature. Family, to her,was a big quilt made up ofmany different people heldtogether by love. She showedby the way she lived that allpeople deserved unconditional love. She recently moved from herhome in Montgomery AL, toBiloxi, MS. She is survived by four children, Pat (Steve) Ptolemy, LaJunta, Colo.; Peggy (Keith)Broussard, Biloxi, Miss.; Bob(Beth) Risch, Savannah, Georgia; and Greg (Benita) Risch,Helena, AL; grandchildren,Erik and Megan Broussard;Dustin, Katie, Chris and Shayla Ptolemy; Kelly, Jake, Susanand Ellen Risch; and Chloeand Sydney Risch. Also surviving is step brother, Bob Moran, of Phildelphia, New York. She is preceded in death byher parents; step fatherWayne Stanley and son JimRisch. A Mass of Christian Burial willbe held 2:00 p.m., July 21,2008, at Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Cathedral in Biloxi wherefriends may visit one hour before service time. Intermentwill be in Victor, Colorado ata later date.
