ROOSEVELT

Mr. Roosevelt "Cal" Calhoun, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama expired September 3, 2014. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. from New Life COGIC Church, Patterson Road, with Pastor Terry Ellison, officiating. Interment in Alabama Heritage Cemetery. Ross-Clayton Funeral Home, directing. Remembering him in their hearts are his wife, Dorothy Eunice Calhoun; two daughters, Jessica Flowers, Montgomery, AL; Jacqueline Critz Chicago, IL; two sons, Daryl (Alycyn) Moore, Wetumpka, AL; Michael Moore, Montgomery, AL; two sisters, Jennie (Anthony) Miller, Sandra McCray both of Montgomery, AL; one brother, Franklin Calhoun, St. Cloud, MN; four sisters-in-law, Maggie (James) Smitherman, Birmingham, AL; Yvonne (John) Weaver, Richmond, VA; Josephine (Fred) Moore, Fairfield, CA; Annie Mae Ray, Fairfield, CA; four brothers-in-law, Waymond (Yvonne) Jackson, Columbus, OH; Raymond (Rogeres) Jackson, Montgomery, AL; Henry (Gloria) Jackson, Kent, WA; 10 grandchildren to include his special granddaughter Jasmine "Toky" Moore, Tuscaloosa, AL; whom he raised and spent every summer and holiday with her grandparents and who was by his side with her grandmother and extended granddaughter Reedie Russell, Montgomery, AL; as he journeyed to be with the Lord; extended granddaughters Lorraine (Anthony) Petty, Montgomery, AL; and Alice (Samuel) Greene, Wetumpka, AL; 12 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins and friends.

My We talked every day.You have been in me Avis life from day 1.I enjoyed you teaching at the same school I went to as a child even living together.Our bond never broke. My was on your wall for so many yrs. You showtaught me so much THANK You!We All we all were planning to come plans were made in not enough time for us to come.
