Alice McElroy Obituary

Alice E. McElroy Age 86, of Hatboro, passed away Feb. 23, 2011 in Abington Hospice at Warminster. Her husband, Hartford McElroy, preceded her in death in 1983. She was formerly of the Village of Neshaminy Falls in Montgomery Township and New Jersey. Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Charles Edward and Florence (Vasey) Fulton. Alice was raised in the West Oak Lane section and graduated from Germantown High School in 1942. Mrs. McElroy was employed in domestic work for a number of residents at Gwynedd Estates for 20 years. She was a member of Hatboro Baptist Church. Surviving are 2 step children: Eleanor Wilson of Mission Viejo, CA and James McElroy of Ohio; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; 1 brother, William D. Fulton and his wife, Nancy, of Millerstown, PA and several generations of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Barbara and Betty and a brother, Charles. Relatives and friends may greet the family Sun., March 6, 2011 between 5 and 6 P.M. in the Hatboro Baptist Church, 32 North York Road, Hatboro, PA 19040, and are invited to attend her Remembrance Service at 6 P.M. In lieu of flowers contributions in her name may be made to Hatboro Baptist Church, address above. Arrangements are with Huff & Lakjer, Lansdale.
