Brad Godshall Obituary
Brad Robert Godshall 52, originally of Souderton, passed away Sunday morning, March 21, 2010, at his Pasadena, California home, where he lived with his loving family. He was married to his wife, Patty, for 23 years. Born in Sellersville on July 31, 1957, he was the son of Robert W. Godshall and the late Sara Fell Godshall. A man of strong faith, he was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Pasadena. He thrived on a good debate, both intellectual and spiritual. He was quick-witted and always up for a challenge. His loyalty to his beloved Eagles baffled his California colleagues but it never wavered. Most of all, he loved his family. His joy was found with his wife and children, of whom he was very proud. Brad was a partner with Pachulski Stang Ziehl & Jones where he specialized in bankruptcy law. He was selected for inclusion in the 2005-2009 publications "Best Lawyers in America", and Chambers USA "America's Leading Business Lawyers" (2004 - 2009). He held an AV Peer Rating, Martindale-Hubbell's highest peer recognition for ethical standards and legal ability, and was named a "Super Lawyer" in the field of Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor Rights in 2008 and 2009 in a peer survey conducted by Law & Politics and the publishers of Los Angeles magazine, an honor bestowed on only 5% of Southern California attorneys. He graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1982, summa cum laude from Juniata College in 1979, and graduated from Souderton High School in 1975 with high honors. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Shoshanna Boctor and her husband, David of Monrovia, CA; his son, Jason Kenoyer, of San Diego; his sons, Jacob and Matthew, and his daughter, Sara, at home; his brother, Grey, and his wife, Lisa, of Souderton; and his sisters, Jami, and her husband, Frank Adams of Phoenix, Arizona, Tanya Neuman, and her husband, Gary, of Souderton, and Shanin Macaluso, and her husband, Daniel, of Decatur, Georgia, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. All are welcome to attend his formal funeral service to be held in Pasadena, California at the First Church of the Nazarene on April 11 at 2:30. For those unable to attend Brad's funeral, a memorial service for local friends and family will be held Saturday, March 27 at 11 AM at Zion Mennonite Church, 149 Cherry Lane
