Dear Dad, Thanks for all your help, guidance and especially your Love. I'm looking forward to the day when we'll meet again. Together we will toast that day with some good Scotch whisky, sing a song or two and maybe even get a round of golf in as well. I Love you Dad. Till we meet again, John.

Dr. Ferguson was a principal who always had an open door. As a teacher, I respected and enjoyed working for him. He was honest, hard-working, really cared for kids and supported his teachers. He made school enjoyable for everyone.

From one of many appreciative former students. I still recall those meetings in Dr. Ferguson's office while a part of the 5th grade student council. What a decent man and a wonderful example of a role model. Wishing him a peaceful journey and sending thanks to his family for providing this opportunity to express our regards.

I remember my interview with Dr. Ferguson many years ago. He commented he had no problems at Jarrettown Elementary, that was an impressive statement, even back then, and he impressed me with his genuine kindness and warm personality. He was a wonderful principal, a keen educator and a gentleman, appreciated by teachers and students alike.

Dr Ferguson was my sixth grade teacher and principal at the old East Oreland Elementary School and was then the principal for my 3 children when they were at Jarrettown Elementary. I remember him fondly. He even remembered me when I saw him at Jarrettown. A great man and a wonderful educator.

Dr. Ferguson you will be truly missed. I have often thought about you over the last 23 years. Being your secretary for 2 short years were some of the best years of my working career. You were a wonderful principal and all around great man. I will continue to think of you each time I look at the Jarrettown stoneware jar you gave me one Christmas. My prayers are with your family.

I loved Dr. Ferguson! I remember when he got his PhD and we had to start calling him, "Dr. Ferguson" instead of, "Mr. Ferguson!" I was so confused because the only doctor I knew was our family doctor, Dr. Fleishman! My sympathies to his family-he was a wonderful principal and a wonderful man!
