Louise M. Priole

1933 - 2014

Louise M. Priole, 81, of Lansdale passed away Monday, June 2, 2014 at Dock Woods Community. She was the loving wife of Anthony L. Priole who passed in 2011. Born May 5, 1933 and raised in Mount Pleasant, Louise was the daughter of the late Robert Emmet and Elizabeth Mable (Bergman) Moreman. She graduated from Ramsey High School in 1951 then went to Penn State College. She was a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority and graduated with a BA in 1955. After graduation she enrolled at Temple University to earn her Master's Degree in Teaching. Louise taught at Shoemaker Jr. High School, where she met her future husband Anthony, then taught at Gillespie Jr. High School until 1960. Louise and Anthony where married in 1956 and then moved to Glenside in 1959. Louise left teaching to raise a family. Over the years she had a variety of interest. She loved to bake and cook, make clothes, but her greatest love was making quilts. Louise learned to play and taught folk guitar. She had many more interests including wallpapering, gardening, cooking for neighbors in need, etc. Louise was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and a council member for a time. When her children were older she began substitute teaching and when the nest was empty started working full time for two Engineering firms. It is impossible to summarize an individual's life in a few words. Louise loved her family. Her greatest quality was her willingness to try new thing. Louise leaves behind three beloved children, Mark Priole (Michele), Robert Priole (Joann), and Susan Schaefer (William); and seven grandchildren. Relatives and friends may greet the family, 10-11a.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Dock Woods Community Chapel, Woods Dr., Lansdale, where a Funeral Service will begin at 11a.m. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn. Arrangements are by Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
