Marie A. Pharo

Marie A. Pharo Marie A. Pharo, 86, formerly of Bethlehem, passed away Friday, April 9, 2010 in Peter Becker Community, Harleysville. She was the wife of the late John W. Pharo, Sr., who died in 2002. Born in Fountain Hill, she was the daughter of the late William and Annie (Ziegenfuss) Kern. She was a graduate of Liberty High School, class of 1941 and attended Cedar Crest College. Marie was a secretary at Bethlehem Steel for several years. She was a member of Central Moravian Church where she served as a Sacristan with her husband and was a member of the 20-Minute Society. Survivors: daughter, Linda P. Thudium and her husband Douglas of Harleysville; son, John W. Pharo, Jr. and his fiancé Kathy Joslin of Lansdale; 3 grandchildren, Brian, Karen and Emily Thudium and many nieces and nephews. Marie was preceded in death by her brother, William Kern. Services: Memorial service Monday, April 12 at 11 AM in the Old Chapel of Central Moravian Church, Heckwelder Place, Bethlehem. A calling hour will be held Sunday from 3 to 4 PM in the Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St, Bethlehem.
