Mark Davies Obituary

Mark Wayne Davies of Worcester Mark Wayne Davies, 46, of Worcester passed away at his residence Thursday August 6, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband to Kimberly (Miller) Davies. Born September 18, 1968 in Philadelphia he was the son of Walter Crossmore Davies and Mary Catherine (Popowicz) Davies. He was a graduate of Roxborough High School Class of 1986. From a young age Mark had a passion for cars, tools and speed. His passion and creative flair was strongly influenced by his father and his brother. Mark was non-conformist, he read all the time. His continued appetite for reading gave him the knowledge to tackle any project or vision. It was amazing how he could reference an article he read in prior years, go to his library of magazines and books and find that particular article. Mark fought a courageous battle for 4-1/2 years, never once considering himself as sick and continued to live his life with a positive outlook and with no regrets. Mark was the type of person who was genuinely happy for other people’s success and good fortune. He always had a positive outlook, used visual strategies during radiation and continued to sets goals to explore the hobbies that were important to him. Family was always number one and when the girls were younger his focus was to be a good provider and make our house the home we envisioned. In addition to his wife and parents he is survived by his two daughters, Allison Davies, and Ryann Davies; His son Mark W. Davies, Jr.; his siblings, Debbie Davies of Roxbrough, Buzzy Davies and his wife, Margie of Roxborough; Cindy Davies Cryder and her husband, Brooks of Roxborough. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 11AM on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 from the R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. Skippack pike @ cedars Rd. Skippack, PA 19474, where friends may call for the viewing from 9-11AM. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to the National Brain Tumor Society, in memory of Mark W. Davies. Had the pleasure to work with Mark for 12 years in Germantown. When he and his cousins weren't messing with me (relentlessly) they were showing me the ropes of how the job was done properly, and to stay out of trouble at Verizon. Mark was brilliant at his craft and his hobbies. I can only imagine what a great father he was. You will be missed. Rest peacefully.

I had the pleasure of working with Mark in
Ger. To me Mark was a mechanical genius.
But, what I'll miss is most is Mark's making
fun of my John Prine music and his humor in
genral. My heart felt condolences to the
Family. My prayers are with you. Bill Emper.
