Stephen Baron Obituary

Stephen F. Baron, 74 A long time Lansdale resident, passed away May 1, 2010 in St. Mary Manor, Lansdale, following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Annette L. (Michaud) Baron and they would have observed their 44th wedding anniversary in August. Born in Orange, NJ, he grew up in East Newark, the last surviving of three sons born to the late Stephen M. and Margaret (Dalton) Baron. He was a proud graduate of St. Benedict's Preparatory School in Newark, NJ and received a BS in Pharmacy at Rutgers University. He furthered his education, earning a Master's degree in Chemistry from Perdue University and returned to Rutgers for his Doctorate. His first love was computers. He worked as a systems analyst at Merck & Co. and retired from the former Leeds and Northrup in Upper Gwynedd. A licensed amateur radio operator, he was a member of the R. F. Hill and Frankford Radio Clubs. He was a member of Corpus Christi Church. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Stephanie Cross and her husband, Daniel, of Souderton and a son, Stephen J. Baron, of Lansdale and three grandchildren, Zachary, Alexander and Margaret. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Michael Baron. Relatives and friends may greet the family Thurs., May 6, 2010 after 9 A.M. in Corpus Christi Church, 900 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale and are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 10 A.M. Interment St. John Neumann Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to American Cancer Society, 700 Horizon Circle, Suite 201, Chalfont, PA 18914. Huff & Lakjer, Lansdale.
