Lucille L. Schulze

1925 - 2025

Lucille L. Schulze, age 100, of Buffalo, MN, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025.

She was born on March 31, 1925 in Maple Grove Township, Hennepin County, MN and lived a long, full, and faith-filled life dedicated to love, hard work, and service to others.

On August 3, 1946, Lucille was married to Clinton V. Schulze in Osseo, MN. God blessed their marriage with two children.

For over 30 years, Lucille worked at Burkland's and Cohen's in Buffalo, where she was known for her warm smile, keen eye for style, and genuine care for every customer who walked through the door. Her work ethic and kindness left a lasting impression on her community.

A devoted wife, she spent her life caring for those she loved most. Her family was her greatest joy, and she showed her love in countless ways-especially through her cooking. She was a gifted storyteller. She also loved music and dancing-especially polka-and never missed a chance to join in a lively tune.

A woman of deep faith, Lucille was the oldest member of her church, where she found friendship, comfort, and community throughout her life.

She will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and the love she poured into everything she did. Her family and friends are grateful for her 100 remarkable years and for the legacy of love and strength she leaves behind.

She is survived by daughter Diana Korpela of Maple Lake; son Bruce (Anne) Schulze of Hudson, WI; granddaughters Katie (Kyle) Golby and Kelli (Bill) Hoeft; three great-grandchildren Corbin and Kelsey, Mitchell; step-great-grandson Jonathan; a great-great-granddaughter Brynlee; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Clinton Schulze on January 15, 1995; a great-grandson William; brother Kenneth "Sonny" Treptau; sisters Helen Herman and Irene Vergin.

Funeral service for Lucille Schulze held at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Buffalo, MN with Pastor Ryan Clark officiating on Monday, November 17, 2025 at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Inurnment at Elmwood Cemetery in Rockford.
