David P. Goulet

David P. Goulet, 57, passed away Friday, Jan. 7, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Katherine Cornell (Covey) Goulet for 30 years.

Born in Salem, Ore., he was the son of Barbara (Boniface) Goulet and the late Phillip Goulet, and the nephew of Richard Boniface.

David was the loving father of Viviann Goulet, Nicos Goulet, Cameron Goulet, Justin Goulet, and Brandon Goulet; brother of Kimberly Puleo; and uncle of Kyle Bown, and Jamie Zaffino. He is also survived by five grandchildren.

David was a racing enthusiast and dedicated his life to the sport he loved. At the age of 17, Dave took the wheel from his father, "Farmer" Phil Goulet, when he retired. Dave went on to set fast times and win races at a young age in the NASCAR Northwest Tour during the 80s. In the 90s, Dave turned to the oval dirt tracks of Oregon where he continued to set fast times, break track records, win races and championships. The late 90s found Dave and his family in North Carolina owning, operating and driving a truck in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, Dave eventually hung up his helmet and started Goulet Services, consulting and crew chiefing for some of the NASCAR Xfinity teams. As of late, Dave took a job in Indiana for Electromod Classics where he was General Manager and head fabricator, converting Classic Muscle cars into Electric Classic Muscle cars.

His celebration of life will be held at a later date in Mooresville, and Salem, Oregon.
