Edouard (Ed) John Hebert

Edouard "Ed" John Hebert (Poppy), 87, of Mooresville, North Carolina, passed away on May 6, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Ed was born in Schenectady, New York, on October 13, 1937, the son of the late Arthur and Florence Hebert. He was a 1955 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and enlisted in the US Army where he was deployed to Boussac, France. Upon his return in 1960, he began a 45-year career with SOFCO.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Geraldine (Foley) Hebert; children, Jeffrey E. Hebert (Sheila) and JP Hebert (Sarah), both of Mooresville, and Kelly A. Pollotolo (Ricky) and Stacie L. Hebert (Bruce Amm), both of Schenectady, NY).

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. at Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church, 1803 Union Street, Schenectady, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. Internment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Schenectady.
